The techniques and materials used in Prismatic Collision are essential to its visual impact and conceptual depth. This piece was meticulously crafted through a hybrid digital process, blending traditional and modern abstract art elements. Utilizing advanced software tools like Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo, I carefully constructed the composition, layering multiple graphic elements to evoke a sense of movement and depth.

The final artwork, a limited edition hybrid metallic print on brushed aluminium, transcends the notion of a static piece; it offers a dynamic experience. This medium was chosen deliberately for its unique ability to reflect light in ways that continually shift, engaging the viewer’s perspective in relation to the room’s ambient lighting. The brushed aluminium surface, with its sleek, modern finish, enhances the vibrancy of the colours and creates a striking contrast between the metallic sheen and the bold, colorful palette, adding an element of excitement to the viewing experience.

By merging digital and traditional techniques, I aimed to create a work that explores the boundaries between the organic and the artificial while standing the test of time. The durability of the brushed aluminium, coupled with the metallic print process, ensures that Prismatic Collision is not merely a fleeting visual experience but a lasting visual statement that will continue to captivate and inspire for years to come.

Inspired by this artwork, I wrote a song reflecting how it makes me feel. I hope you enjoy it.
